As we celebrate today our third anniversary, GZX and GreenZone are thrilled to reflect on the incredible journey we’ve undertaken. From our humble beginnings to our current standing as pioneers in the intersection of blockchain technology and environmental sustainability, our mission has remained steadfast: to promote recycling, protect the environment, and bridge the gap between the digital and physical worlds.

Over the past three years, we’ve made significant strides:
- Serving 2,000 Residents in the Rio Grande Valley (RGV): Our community has grown exponentially, and we are proud to serve a dedicated and environmentally-conscious group of residents who are committed to making a difference.
- Collecting 100,000 lbs of Recyclables: Thanks to the collective efforts of our community, we’ve successfully diverted a significant amount of waste from landfills, contributing to a healthier planet.
- Partnerships with 5 New Non-Profits: We’ve expanded our reach by partnering with five new non-profit organizations that now accept GZX as a form of donation. This initiative not only supports our mission but also empowers other organizations to join the fight for a sustainable future.
- Collaborating with 15 Businesses in the RGV: Our network of businesses that accept GZX continues to grow, creating a robust ecosystem that promotes recycling and environmental stewardship.
Looking Ahead: Expansion and Innovation
The future holds exciting prospects for GZX and GreenZone. Here’s a glimpse of what’s on the horizon:
- Expanding to Mexico: We are thrilled to announce that our first international expansion will be into Mexico. This move marks a significant step in our journey to promote recycling and sustainability on a global scale.
- Developing MetaBeach for South Padre Island: Our goal is to turn Texas’ #2 beach into an eco-tourism hub using AR/VR technology. MetaBeach will not only transform South Padre Island into a vibrant destination but also educate visitors on the importance of recycling and protecting the Gulf Coast. This innovative project will merge the best of digital and physical experiences, fostering a deeper connection to our planet.
- Rewarding Over $45,000 in Value: Through our recycling program, we have rewarded over $45,000 in value to our participants, incentivizing sustainable practices and highlighting the tangible benefits of recycling.
- Growing the Recycle 2 Earn DAO: Launched on April 22, 2024, our Recycle 2 Earn DAO has already shown tremendous potential. We plan to expand this initiative, offering more opportunities for community participation and rewards for sustainable actions.
