We did it! On Earth Day 2023, Saving Creation Inc, in partnership with Greenzone, hosted their first-ever beach clean-up event at South Padre Island. We are beyond thrilled to report that the event was a massive success, and it would not have been possible without the support of the local community and volunteers.
We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated in the clean-up, including those who could not attend in person but supported us in other ways. Your efforts have made a tremendous impact on our environment, and we’re grateful for your contributions.
The day started early, and everyone gathered on the beach with excitement and enthusiasm. Volunteers of all ages came equipped with gloves, trash bags, and a passion for making a positive change in our world. We could see that everyone was eager to get started and began combing the beach for any signs of litter and debris.
It was incredible to witness people from different backgrounds and age groups come together for a common cause. The atmosphere was electric as everyone worked tirelessly, picking up cigarette butts, plastic bottles, food wrappers, and other kinds of litter that had washed ashore.
The weather was beautiful and a wonderful breeze on the coast, the volunteers remained eager and motivated throughout the event. It was evident that everyone was united in their commitment to preserving our environment and protecting the ocean’s fragile ecosystem.
By the end of the event, the volunteers had collected an astonishing amount of waste, which would have otherwise ended up polluting the ocean and harming wildlife. It was inspiring to see what a group of dedicated individuals could achieve when they work together towards a common goal.
