GreenZone, a company specializing in environmentally-friendly technologies, has partnered with Toko-Musik, a team of experts in preserving cultural assets through blockchain technology and non-fungible tokens (NFTs), to create a one-of-a-kind NFT collection dedicated to boxing legend and Olympic award winner, Jackie Wilson.

Born as George Dudley Wilson, Jackie Wilson had an impressive boxing career in the 1930s and 1940s. He won the Chicago Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions at flyweight in 1936, and went on to win the Intercity Golden Gloves championship and the National AAU in the flyweight division later that same year. At the 1936 Berlin Olympiad, Wilson was the silver medalist at bantamweight, with the verdict for the gold medal being awarded to Ulderico Sergo of Italy. Wilson also represented the United States against Europe in 1936, and was awarded the verdict vs. Ulderico Sergo of Italy at bantamweight.

Wilson continued his success as a professional boxer and was ranked #2 in the world at lightweight by Ring Magazine in 1940, and #2 in 1941 at welterweight. He was also the first African-American boxer to fight a main event at Hollywood Legion Stadium, where he won the verdict vs. Tony Chavez on April 26, 1940.

Despite his success in the ring, Wilson’s life was cut short when he passed away at the age of 38 after a bout with cancer in a hospital in Cleveland, Ohio on March 10, 1956. He had been a patient in the hospital since the previous November.

To celebrate Wilson’s legacy, GreenZone and Toko-Musik are launching the first collection in their partnership, which will be dedicated to Wilson’s historic achievements. This project is particularly special, as Wilson was the great grandfather of GreenZone ‘s CEO, Tionte Boggan.

Through this partnership, GreenZone and Toko-Musik aim to showcase the power of blockchain technology in preserving cultural assets, while also promoting environmentally-friendly technologies. The use of blockchain technology and NFTs to preserve cultural assets is a new and exciting way to ensure that these legacies are not lost to history.

The Jackie Wilson NFT collection is just the beginning of what promises to be a series of exciting and innovative projects from GreenZone and Toko-Musik. The partnership is also working on more collection dedicated to preserving history in Mexico and Texas. Toko-Musik is currently working on a NFT collection for the Emiliano Zapata family, a historic figure in Mexico that played a significant role in the Mexican Revolutionary

In conclusion, the announcement of the Jackie Wilson NFT collection is an exciting development in the world of NFTs and cultural asset preservation. The partnership between GreenZone and Toko-Musik promises to create many innovative projects in the future, and we can’t wait to see what they have in store for us.
